East Cape Regatta November 8-12, 2010

The premier event of the 2010-11 Cruising Season for Veleros de Baja is nearing the race date. The fleet will depart Cabo San Lucas on the morning of Nov 8 and enjoy two lay-days. One at Los Frailies where snorkeling and diving can be wonderful. It is just a short dingy ride around the point to the only living coral reef in the NE Pacific.

The second Lay-day will be in Bahia de Suenos, formerly known as Los Muertos. There we will enjoy a beach party at the Restaurant there now the "1535". Racers will get a 10% discount on all drinks and food. The music will be the Blues Explosion, they will play from 6:30-9:30 PM.

The next leg of the race will bring the fleet into the Bay of La Paz and overnight at beautiful Bahia Balandra. The East Cape Regatta will finish there. The following morning will be a "Rock to the Dock" Race into La Paz, some 7 miles away. Several local boats will be entering the final leg as a separate race.

10 Nov.  Frailes-Muertos.  Club 1535 with The Bluz Explosion Band
11 Nov.  Lay day Muertos. 
12 Nov.  Muertos-Balandra. 46 Miles
13 Nov.  Roca Lobos-Muelle Fiscal, La Paz. 7 miles
